OUR STORY

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

The original Church Hall was built in 1925 at 36 Sackville Street. The building quickly became too small due to the rapid growth of the Children's Ministry, and it was very apparent that the facilities were far from adequate. With working bees and voluntary supervised labour, the building was extended to provide more space for the Children’s ministry. This building served the church until it was sold in 1948. In the meantime, the church had purchased a section at 524 Devon Street and built a hall on the property. Its foundation stone was laid in a ceremony on May 15, 1948. Over the years, members of Knox became aware of the need for a more adequate Worship Space, and in May 1969, this dream was realised with the opening of our Auditorium.

Knox has undergone a few changes over the years, but our focus has always remained the same: to make people followers of Jesus Christ.

WHERE ARE WE HEADING...

But we are still not close to where we would like to be. The need is still great, and there are many people who do not know Jesus. Join the adventure, just as you are, be transformed, and make a difference.
