WHAT WE BELIEVE

CORE BELIEFS

Below are the core beliefs of Knox Fitzroy, based on the truths found in the Bible. All of our messages, courses, and ministries are grounded in these biblical principles.

God
There is only one God, who exists eternally as three persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of everything that exists, both visible and invisible, and therefore, He is worthy of all praise. The Lord is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, wisdom, justice, and grace. He is unchanging and is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Incarnation
God revealed Himself to humanity through His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the visible person of the invisible God, the one to whom the Holy Scriptures and creation point.

Humanity
Human beings, male and female, were created in the image of God, for His glory.

​

The Fall
When Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, three relationships were broken: the relationship between God and humanity, the relationship between humans, and the relationship between humanity and nature. We still live within these broken relationships today.

Reconciliation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile these three relationships with Himself. He lived a sinless life and willingly died on the cross for the brokenness of each one of us. He rose from the dead on the third day, and through His grace, all who follow Him can share in eternal life. Therefore, salvation can only occur through Jesus Christ.

The Church
The church is the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to spread the good news of Jesus and to glorify God.

Creation
God is the Creator who has created and continues to create. Humanity is appointed to oversee creation and ensure that it is not exploited.
